Replaced bolts in speaker with proper length (i.e., shorter) ones, and reversed them so the extra length is at the top, hidden by the bracket.
Removed the speaker horn for repainting using the recently-purchased “crinkle” finish paint.

Tried to find the cause of the noise in the passenger side floor vent. Removed the panel around the vent opening and could not see anything obvious. I suspect there is something caught higher up in the duct, or there is a gasket in the vent that is worn and vibrating in the breeze.
Test fit and adjusted the Visibar. Looks good!
Cleaned one set (the “worst-condition” set) of dog dish hubcaps. The “better” set has paint around the edges that will be more work to get off.
Cut antenna to proper length (5’3″).
Tightened the loose rear view mirror.
Took a few pictures of it as it sits in my garage prior to any work being done on it.
Ran a little rough. But did pretty good over that short distance.
Went alone to examine it. Gave it a more thorough examination than I was able to do on the first visit, mostly because we spent part of the time talking with Barry and because it was starting to get a little dark in the evening. Took a bunch of pictures of it.
The more I see, the more I am pleased with it.
And I’m really leaning toward doing the ISP option …
Talked to Barry. Looks pretty good; better than expected! Needs new windshield (cracked along lower edge; usable for now as-is), and rust-through in right front fender repaired. Needs battery charged or replaced.
I’m excited…
