Called Roscoe Glass to ask them to order windshield. Left voicemail. Their price is much better than Rockford Auto Glass’ price; plus there was no confusion regarding the gasket.

Glass is correct size and gasket reusable
Per Rockford Auto Glass via phone.
I have serious concerns about the idea of reusing the old gasket. Also, I thought (based on my previous phone conversation with Rockford Auto Glass) that it was included in the purchase price. So I’m going to search for another source for the glass (and gasket).

Found 102″ antenna whip
At ham radio expo at Boone County Fairgrounds. It will have to be cut down to the proper length (63.3″) before installation.
These things used to be available from every truck stop and CB radio store, not to mention Radio Shack. But I’ve actually been having trouble finding one until now.

Picked up ISPERN control head

This is technically not correct for this vintage car, but it will be good to have at some point in the future.

Bought “the club”
Gotta keep it from being “gone in 60 seconds” … (Like anyone would want to steal it in its current form!) My thinking is that the club might be a good idea at car shows, cruise nights and the like.

Correct windshield found!
Rockford Auto Glass found a windshield, but it ain’t cheap. It should arrive in about a week-and-a-half (from California).

Windshield wrong!
Safelite came out to replace the cracked windshield, but they brought the wrong one! What they brought was for a 4-door hardtop rather than a 4-door sedan. Now they say they can’t get the proper one! Aaaaarrrrgggh!

Determined replacement tire size
The original tires are 215/75 R-14, but those are (apparently) no longer available. Went to Discount Tires and they looked up a replacement tire size. Their online guide said to use 215/70 R-14.
Due to the slight difference in size, this will cause the speedometer to read incorrectly. If the speedometer reads 65 MPH, the approximate actual speed will be 64.27 MPH. I think I can live with that slight difference.

Found genuine ISPERN control head
Found a genuine used ISPERN control head on the internet, for sale by some ham radio guy. Sent an email asking for purchase info. Technically, I think ISPERN didn’t come until a couple years after this car would have been used, but I’d like to get the radio anyway.
